If you want to outsource the construction of your own family tree or ancestral lineage, here are the things you need to know to get started:
- DATA NEEDED TO BEGIN THE SEARCH
- The basic rule is to provide basic information about your ancestors, in particular the names and surnames of your grandparents and great-grandparents.
- It is usually the case that simply providing details of grandparents is not enough to start the search. Well as, for example, the names of great-grandparents are known.
- The dates of birth and at least the year of birth of the ancestors are important. As a rule, I come from my great-grandparents, i.e. the beginning of the 20th century to the max. 1918, but it depends on the parish and it comes out "in the wash"
- It is important to provide the town or parish in which the ancestors were born or in general from what area they come. Sometimes it is enough to state your grandparents' hometowns.
- In order to obtain this data, we first use our own knowledge. Then we ask parents, grandparents or other elderly people in the family.
- In case of poor results after performing the activities mentioned in point 5 - you can visit the graves of relatives and write down important information from them.
For example:
Jan Kowalski, born on January 1, 1905, Lodz
Janina Kowalska née Nowak, born on January 1, 1910 in Łódź
- EXECUTION TIME
- It can be approximated only after presenting the data and familiarizing yourself with the availability of metrics, their reading difficulty, complexity - the number of parishes. This is due to many factors.
- If, after reading the data, I know that I am unable to complete the task, I do not undertake it.
III. MANUFACTURING
- I am sending the finished tree in a graphic form in a pdf file.
- I'm sending a link to a free genealogy program.
- I send a ready file containing the entire database of found people, which can be opened in the indicated program or uploaded directly to the genealogical website
